Two production lines, one facility
Knitted garments and socks are produced on separate lines. On both lines quality control takes place at every stage of production; AQL 2.5 is applied in in-line checks and at final inspection.
-
Fabric intake
Fabric arrives with its lot and waits in the warehouse until cutting.
-
Pattern and marker making
Patterns and markers are prepared on computer (CAD).
-
Spreading and cutting
The fabric is spread and cut on an automatic cutting table. Cutting is done on a Shima Seiki CNC cutter for precise, fast cutting of the lay.
-
Sewing
The pieces are assembled on the sewing line.
-
Quality control
In-process control: while sewing is under way, each lot is checked in-line to AQL 2.5 for measurements and stitching.
-
Pressing, packing and final inspection
The garment is pressed, folded, polybagged and labelled; final inspection is carried out to AQL 2.5.
-
Carton packing
The packs go into cartons, which are palletised, stretch-wrapped and counted before shipment.

-
Yarn intake
Yarn arrives with its lot and waits in the warehouse until knitting.
-
Knitting and toe closing
Socks are knitted on 132, 144, 156, 168 and 200-needle Lonati knitting machines; the toe is closed on the machine.
-
Tecnopea automatic steam boarding
Socks are pulled onto forms, steamed, pressed and passed through a heated tunnel. Robotic arms then take them off the forms and stack them on a conveyor belt.
-
Quality control
Quality control is carried out to AQL 2.5 at every stage: yarn intake, in-line, packing and random carton inspection before shipment.
-
Packing and carton packing
Pairs are matched and sewn to their header card or fastened with a tagging pin; they are packed on a header card, in a sleeve or in a box, then labelled and polybagged. The packs go into cartons, which are counted before shipment.

Certified production
Nine certificates. Click a logo to see its scope; what it does not prove is set out on the certifications page. Certifications
- Business Social Compliance Initiative
- The social compliance audit system that amfori members apply to their suppliers. Working conditions, wages, working hours and occupational safety are monitored through independent audits.
- Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit
- The social compliance audit of the Sedex platform. Our audit was carried out as a four-pillar audit: labour standards, health and safety, environment and business ethics.
- ISO 9001:2015 quality management system
- The scope of the certificate is the production and sale of outerwear and underwear, socks, home textiles and fabric products. It certifies the management system and says nothing about the content of the product.
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100
- A test for harmful substances: it verifies that the finished product complies with limit values for human health. Class I covers baby products, Class II everyday clothing in contact with the skin; it does not say whether the fibre is organic or recycled.
- Global Organic Textile Standard
- Covers the processing of organic fibre from end to end, including chemical use, wastewater and social criteria. Our socks are at the "Made With Organic" level under this standard.
- Organic Content Standard
- Verifies the share of organic fibre in the product and its traceability from raw material to finished product. It certifies the content, not how the fibre is processed; a Transaction Certificate is issued separately for goods shipped.
- Global Recycled Standard
- Verifies recycled content and adds social, environmental and chemical criteria. Our certificate is a scope certificate showing that the facility is authorised to produce to this standard.
- Recycled Claim Standard, Blended
- Verifies recycled content and its traceability; the Blended label covers shares between 5% and 95%. Unlike GRS, it contains no social or environmental criteria.
- Vegan product certificate
- Certifies that no fibres or auxiliaries of animal origin are used in the product.
Solar Energy Systems
The solar energy system on the factory roof generates more electricity each year than the facility consumes. The surplus is fed into the grid.
- 611
- kWp installed capacity
- 780,000
- kWh annual output
Lonati sock knitting machines
Our sock department runs Lonati GE616FP machines with 3¾″ cylinders. Every machine closes the toe with the SbyS system.
- 132–200
- needle count (132, 144, 156, 168, 200)
- 160,000
- pairs of socks per month
Cutting and sewing automation
We run sleeve and bottom hemming, rib cuff preparation, polo plackets and laser cutting and sewing on automatic units. Every piece is processed with the same settings, so dimensions and stitch quality stay consistent across the whole order.
