Fabric and fibre options for kidswear
In kidswear the fabric must withstand frequent washing and movement. Cotton and organic cotton are the base fibres; in sweatshirts and tracksuits, cotton-polyester blends give dimensional stability, and recycled cotton and polyester are preferred for orders with a sustainability requirement. Dimensional stability after washing is measured at fabric intake; safety checks are carried out on small trims. We source the fabric; for this group, single jersey, interlock, rib, French terry and three-thread fleece are among the knitted fabrics we can supply.
Fibres
Natural and regenerated
Synthetic
What each fibre is and how it behaves in fabric is described on the fibres page.

Working model for kidswear
Kidswear has a wide size range; regardless of the model, pattern development and size breakdown are at the centre of planning.
Private label
Collection, fabric, pattern and size range come from us; you send the product brief and the quantity. We work with a pattern chart that meets European size standards.
Full-package
The design and the tech pack come from you, fabric, trims and the supply chain from us. In this model, trim safety and labelling rules are our responsibility.
In both models we are your OEM manufacturer: every order is made entirely to your specification; design, pattern and fabric choice are set by your brand, and the product carries your label. Collection production and working models

Frequently asked questions about kidswear production
Which OEKO-TEX class applies to kidswear?
Children's products above 36 months are tested under our Class II certificate. Baby products up to 36 months require Class I; we hold a separate certificate for this, described on the babywear page.
How is the safety of small trims checked?
Snaps, buttons and similar small trims undergo strength testing; trims are chosen according to children's clothing safety requirements and recorded in the tech pack.
Can kidswear be produced with organic or recycled fibre?
Yes. Kidswear is within the scope of our GOTS and OCS/GRS/RCS scope certificates; if you state the standard and the label level in your order, a Transaction Certificate is issued for the shipment.
How is the size range determined?
We develop patterns with size charts suited to the European market; if you have your own size chart, we work to it. The size breakdown is agreed together at the order stage.
Do you produce licensed children's products?
Yes. For licensed products made with the brand owner's approval, we produce children's and adult sizes together; colour accuracy and print consistency are held to the licensor's reference.
